I am a pointed finger...
You know, I have to admit, I know that sometimes I'm not as good of a friend as I'd like to be...in as far as keeping touch w/ people and all that. I mean, If they ever really needed me, I'd be there as fast as my lil legs could carry me. But inasfar as periodic updates, hanging out, and checkups, I'm not always on top of things. I try to, but I always get caught up in the activities I'm doing that it's hard. Things just get really busy sometimes, and outside of the big group hangouts, it's not always easy to find time...and I know, if it's important, you MAKE time. But everyone gets busy, so everyone knows what it's like. But what I hate is when someone tries to call you out on it when they haven't been doing anything about it on their part either. I get frustrated with that...it's so one sided... "YOU dont' call, or keep in touch" "You say let's hang out, but we never do..." I'd only give someone the right to say those things if they were actually doing that. But more often than not, the other party hasn't been doing their fare share either. Friendship, just like every relationship, is a two-way street. I'm so sick of being blamed for not keeping in touch or always being expected to be the one to set things up...it's bullshit. And of course this doesn't apply to everyoone, but there ARE some who are like that. There are friends who no matter how long the gap is when you guys get to talk and/or hang out, it's like time hasn't passed...and not in the sense that nothing has really changed, a lot may have happened...I mean, the relationship is still more or less the same from the last time you hung out...those are the types of relationships I wish I could have with everyone, they're low maintenance. But hey, every relationship is different, right? Just sucks to have to deal with stuff like that...
Da na na, da na na(ESPN style)
During my tuesday league game last night, w/ about 5 seconds left in the first half, I dribbled around a screen a little before the half court line, and heaved up what would be a half-court buzzer beater to end the half! Woohoo! That's the first time I've ever done that in a game...all those half-court practice shots finally paid off...he he he
